Commencing this evening, January 5th – 7.00pm.
A brand new series for a new year in our midweek Study Hall …
“And We Beheld His Glory”
A walk through the Gospel of John
The apostle John wrote his eyewitness account of the life of Jesus with a very specific aim in mind: so that “you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name” (John 20:31).
His telling of “the greatest story ever told” is unique, and is based around …
- 7 great sign miracles Jesus did,
- 7 profound discourses Jesus delivered, and
- 7 powerful claims that He made.
All of it points to one undeniable fact … Jesus of Nazareth is the eternal God, Creator of all things, come to earth in human form. It is an impossible claim to say that he was merely a good moral teacher. If He is NOT Who He claimed to be, then there was nothing good about Him; He must have been either insane or a diabolical charlatan. But John shows that, in fact, He thoroughly proved His claims.
The Gospel of John is an extraordinary historical document. We have 15 weeks of studies planned to get our teeth into it – so this is a great time to start (or re-start) coming along for midweek discipleship. These are wonderful evenings of learning, growth and making friends. The coffee is on at 6.45pm, and the program concludes at 8.30pm. All-age kids programs run concurrently (staffed nursery available).
I look forward to seeing you!
